Game activity

The Coviqo desktop app (version 0.3.0 or newer) can show which game you are playing: "Playing Factorio" appears in your profile card and in member lists. The feature is off by default.

Switching it on#

Settings → Privacy & my data → Game activity (the section is only shown in the desktop app). Once switched on, the app looks at the names of the programs running on your computer every 15 seconds and compares them with a list of known games. It never reads window titles or screen content, and the list of your programs never leaves your computer – only the name of the detected game is sent.

Games Coviqo does not know can be added under Own entries: enter the program name (for example mygame.exe) and the name to show. Own entries are stored on this computer only.

Who sees it#

Your contacts and people who share a space with you – never strangers. The game is only shown while your profile field Gaming is visible to shared spaces (Settings → Profile → visibility); spaces that hide activities do not show it. Nothing is stored: when you close the game or go offline, it disappears. Switching the setting off removes it immediately.
