Voice that stays out of your way
- Push-to-talk with a key or a mouse button. In the desktop app it works globally, also in fullscreen games.
- Game overlay (desktop app for Windows) shows who is talking while you play.
- Voice rooms are always open: see who is in practice and join with one click.
- Stream your game into the voice room. The desktop app for Windows uses the hardware encoder of your graphics card.
Radio for shotcallers and leads
Hold a key, speak, let go: radio (intercom) reaches other voice rooms without leaving your own. Admins set up channels with a target:
- Rooms – up to 5 voice rooms, e.g. every squad of a raid.
- Lobby – every session of a lobby, also ones started later (Community Pro and higher).
- Announcement – every occupied voice room of the space (Community Pro and higher).
- Roles & people – a whisper only the chosen leads hear, wherever they are in voice (Community Pro and higher).
The receiving room gets quieter while radio plays. For 30 seconds afterwards, the reply key answers the sender directly.
Lobbies and find players
In a lobby, anybody starts their own voice room with one click – a session with a name, a size from 2 to 25 and access for everyone, on request or invite only. Empty sessions disappear by themselves, so the sidebar stays short.
Short on players? The leader publishes the session in Find players with game, mode, rank, language and platform. People from other communities ask to join. Once accepted, they get a guest pass for exactly that session’s voice room and chat – for up to 6 hours.
Game clips and streamer mode
- Game clips (desktop app for Windows): Alt+F8 saves the last seconds of your game as a video file. Voices from your Coviqo calls are never recorded. Share a clip in a channel with one click.
- Streamer mode hides your e-mail address, invite links, join codes and the contents of notifications while you stream. In the desktop app it can switch on by itself when streaming software runs.
Roles, onboarding and raid protection
- Roles for captain, coach, roster, trial and community – each with exactly the rights it needs.
- Onboarding questions: "Which game do you play?" – the answer gives the matching role and opens the right rooms.
- Join codes let members into a private room, e.g. for a raid group, without adding them one by one.
- Raid protection spots waves of new accounts, pauses joins and holds messages of new members for review. Join requirements like a minimum account age or a bot check apply all the time.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need the desktop app?
No, Coviqo runs in the browser. Global push-to-talk, the game overlay and game clips need the desktop app; game clips and the overlay are for Windows.
Can players from outside our clan join a session?
Yes, if your community switches on public sessions. The leader accepts the request, and the player gets a guest pass for that session only. They don’t see your other rooms.
How many people fit into a voice room?
Up to 25 on the Free plan, 100 on Community Pro, 200 on Business and 500 on Enterprise – see pricing.
Do game clips record my teammates?
No. Clips contain the game window, the game sound and – only if you switch it on – your own microphone. Voices from Coviqo calls are never recorded, and files stay on your computer until you share them.
